Today we're exploring the different ways that "smart cities" will transform 21st century life. Adam Greenfield is against a lot of the ideology underpinning smart cities. He's the founder and managing director of Urbanscale and author of "Against the Smart City."

From top down development and issues of predictive policing, to the embedded sensors and looped fibers, he’s wary of what smart city developments like Hudson Yards mean for spontaneous street scenes and diversity.
