Academic or Freedom?

The Brian Lehrer Show | Nov 13, 2014

Professors in higher education are just doing a job, says Stanley Fish, and they don't have any special academic freedoms. He's professor of law at Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and the author now of Versions of Academic Freedom: From Professionalism to Revolution (University Of Chicago Press, 2014). He discusses different views of academic freedoms, from "just a job" to a more radical take, and takes calls from listeners.
