After the death of Flaco, how New Yorkers can make the city safer for birds

The death of Flaco, the Eurasian eagle owl who escaped the Central Park Zoo last year, has devastated New York City's birding community.

The Wildlife Conservation Society reported that Flaco appeared to have collided with a building on West 89th Street. And it has raised questions, once again, about what we can do to try to make New York City a safer place for birds.

Dr. Dustin Partridge, New York City Audubon's Director of Conservation and Science, joins Weekend Edition host David Furst to discuss tips on how to limit the number of collisions with city buildings.
