“Meru,” directed by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, chronicles three American mountain climbers attempting to summit the Himalayan peak known as the “Shark’s Fin” on Mount Meru. With stunning cinematography, their epic journey takes us to perilous heights while also probing the psyche of these risk-takers.
