Al Pacino is a Depressed Shakespearean Stage Actor

Actually, Pacino’s quite happy with his own dramatic stage work. But the character he plays out of Philip Roth’s 2009 novel The Humbling isn’t quite so self-assured these days. The actor, Simon Axler, struggles to find passion for life and return to earlier career successes. The actor Al Pacino remains in excellent creative form. He talks to Joy Behar about the new film, about his groundbreaking roles on-screen and on stage, and a new chapter in his life.
