Watching 'Between the World and Me,' A New Film with PJ Harvey, Tom Seaver Bio, 'The Cult of Cults'
Based on the 2018 adaptation and staging of the book at the Apollo Theater, the HBO Special of Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between the World and Me combines elements of the Apollo’s production, including powerful readings from Coates’ book, and incorporates documentary footage from the actors’ home life, archival footage, and animation. Director Kamilah Forbes joins us to walk us through the project.

Photojournalist Seamus Murphy joins us to discuss directing the new documentary, "PJ Harvey: A Dog Called Money," which looks at how Harvey’s 2016 album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, grew out of a collaboration with Murphy and charts their journey together through Kabul, Kosovo, and Washington, DC. The film will screen via Film Forum starting December 9.
