Discussing 'Bridgerton,' 'You'll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey,' Catching the Night Stalker & the Golden State Killer, Best International TV Shows

Aisha Harris, a host of NPR’s Pop Culture Happy Hour, joins us for the launch of our new series, “Watch Party,” in which we invite listeners to watch a show with us. For the first installment of our series, we’ll discuss the hit Netflix series, “Bridgerton,” and take listeners’ calls.

Director Julie Anne Robinson joins us to discuss her work on the Netflix series, "Bridgerton." Robinson directed two episodes – the pilot, and episode 6, "Swish" – and also served as an executive producer on the series.

Comedian and late night host Amber Ruffin and her sister Lacey Lamar have teamed up for a new book. Titled, You’ll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey: Crazy Stories About Racism, the book features a series of stories about the different forms of racism Amber and Lacey face as Black women who live in New York City and Nebraska, respectively. We’ll also speak with Amber about her new Peacock show, “The Amber Ruffin Show.”

During the 1980’s, Southern California residents were terrorized by a crime spree by a predator dubbed The Night Stalker. A new documentary series on Netflix titled, “Nightstalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer,” examines the investigation and eventual capture of Richard Ramirez. Director Tiller Russell joins us to discuss making the series.
