Cannes Recap, Actor Alex Wolff, St. Lenox Album, Beach Reads
Kyle Buchanan, pop culture reporter and awards season columnist for the New York Times, joins the show to give us his Cannes Film Festival post mortem.
The latest film from director M. Night Shyamalan tells the disturbing story of a family whose tropical vacation turns nightmarish when they discover that the beach is causing each person to live their lives in a single day. Alex Wolff, who plays Trent in the film, has made a name for himself in horror after his starring role in “Hereditary.” Wolff joins us to discuss his role in the new Shyamalan film, “Old,” which premieres in theaters July 23. We will also speak with Wolff about his role opposite Nicolas Cage in the film “Pig,” now in theaters.
Andrew Choi is a Manhattan attorney with a philosophy PhD who performs as St. Lenox. Stereogum has called him “one of the most intense and expressive vocalists in indie rock.” Choi joins us for an All Of It Listening Party to discuss his latest album, Ten Songs of Worship and Praise for Our Tumultuous Times, which he describes as a “a religious revisionist record.”
