An Intense Adaptation of 'Cyrano,' Favorite Passover Dinner Recipes, Listening Party: Cat Power's 'Covers,' Egg Recipes for Easter

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Apr 15, 2022

Actor James McAvoy stars as Cyrano in the U.S premiere of the Martin Crimp adaptation, "Cyrano de Bergerac," using spoken word, rap, rhymes, and poetry to seduce his one true love. We are joined by Evelyn Miller who stars as Roxane. The show runs at the Brooklyn Academy of Music through May 22.

Chag sameach, it’s the first night of pesach. Jewish Food Society program director and “Schmaltzy” podcast host Amanda Dell joins us. She'll help us take a look at seder tables around the world, and at Listeners' seder tables. Listeners call in with their favorite Passover dinner recipes from all over the Jewish diaspora.

In January, Cat Power released Covers, her third record of tribute songs. The artists covered include Iggy Pop, Jackson Browne, Nick Cave, The Replacements, and more. Power joins us for a Listening Party and to preview her April 18 show at Brooklyn Steel.

Easter is around the corner and a lot of our listeners will be boiling--and dyeing--eggs. What to do with all the hardboiled eggs afterwards? We'll hear some tips plus recipes for all year round from Lisa Steele, chicken farmer and author of the book, The Fresh Eggs Daily Cookbook: Over 100 Fabulous Recipes to Use Eggs in Unexpected Ways.
