WNYC Launches Dead End Podcast, Good Vibes, Transportation Roundup, 'Guadalupe Maravilla: Tierra Blanca Joven,' 'Fiddler's Journey to the Big Screen'

A new podcast from WNYC, hosted by senior reporter Nancy Solomon, tells the story of the 2014 unsolved deaths of New Jersey political couple John and Joyce Sheridan. The show examines the lackluster police investigation that followed, new evidence that has arisen since 2014, and what it all means for the state of politics in New Jersey. Solomon joins us to discuss the seven-part podcast, which is called, DEAD END: A New Jersey Political Murder Mystery. Episode one debuts tomorrow.

A new exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum showcases the work of multidisciplinary artist Guadalupe Maravilla, the first contemporary Central American artist to have a solo show at the Museum. Guadalupe Maravilla: Tierra Blanca Joven, draws from Maravilla's experience of leaving his native El Salvador at 8 years old, living undocumented in the United States, and also his recovery later in life from stage-three cancer. Maravilla and Eugenie Tsai, senior curator of contemporary art at the Brooklyn Museum, join us to discuss the show, which is on view until September 18.

A new documentary chronicles the unlikely transformation of beloved stage musical, "Fiddler on the Roof," to beloved film. Director Daniel Raim joins us to discuss his film, "Fiddler's Journey to the Big Screen," which revisits the adaptation and filming process. The documentary premieres on April 29 at the Angelika.
