Oscar-winning actor Al Pacino joins us to discuss the 75th anniversary of The Actor's Studio, of which he is co-president. He also discusses a special benefit screening of his 1975 film, "Dog Day Afternoon," which is set to take place on October 27 at 7 pm. Pacino will attend the screening and participate in a live interview afterwards.

According to New York Times cocktail and spirits writer Robert Simonson, we are living through the second golden age of cocktails. What does that mean, precisely? Simonson joins to tell us the history of some of the most well-known cocktails, as well as his own takes on the best cocktails you can make at home, with recipes from his new book, Modern Classic Cocktails: 60+ Stories and Recipes from the New Golden Age in Drinks. Plus, he takes your calls.

Martyna Majok's play, "Cost of Living," won the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and now the show is headed to Broadway, with returning stars Katy Sullivan and Gregg Mozgala reprising their original roles. The story follows two pairs of people, one disabled and one able bodied, and explores their relationships with one another. Majok and Sullivan join us to discuss, along with David Zayas, who joins the production playing the ex-husband to Sullivan's character. "Cost of Living" runs at the Samuel J. Friedman Theater through October 30.

Lorraine Hansberry's classic play, "A Raisin in the Sun," about a Black family's struggles with housing discrimination on the South Side of Chicago, has been given a new staging at the Public Theater. Director Robert O'Hara joins us to discuss his vision for this revival, alongside Francois Battiste, who stars as Walter Lee Younger. "A Raisin in the Sun" runs at the Public Theater through November 6.
