A new pop jukebox musical imagines what might have happened if Juliet survived her love affair with Romeo... and if Anne Hathaway had more say in Shakespeare's plays. David West Read, the Emmy Award winning writer behind "Schitt's Creek," wrote the book and joins us to discuss, alongside Betsy Wolf, who stars as Anne Hathaway. "& Juliet" is on Broadway now.
The new film, "She Said," presents a dramatized version of the journalistic investigation by Pulitzer Prize winning New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey into Harvey Weinstein. The film stars Zoe Kazan as Kantor and Carey Mulligan as Twohey. Director Maria Schrader joins us to discuss the movie, which is in theaters now.
Director Jerzy Skolimowski's latest film follows a donkey named EO on a journey across European borders, through various owners and caretakers, encountering kindness and violence along the way. Skolimowski joins us with co-writer Ewa Piaskowska to discuss their Cannes Jury Prize-winner, "EO."
From now through January 8, The Museum of the City of New York will feature the winners of the holiday-themed exhibit, Gingerbread NYC: The Great Borough Bake-Off, featuring handmade gingerbread displays representing each New York City borough. We speak to the museum's director, Whitney Donhauser, as well as one of the judges of the contest.
