Anticipating Lunar New Year, NYC hot pot fans share a warm obsession

WNYC News | Jan 20, 2023

Essentially a big vessel of steaming broth that cooks in the center of your table, whether at home or in a restaurant, hot pot is simmering constantly and eaten communally. Tang Yousheng, known among friends as Yoshi, is a hot pot obsessive, whose passion for the hot soup dates back to his childhood in Shanghai in the 1980s, celebrating the Lunar New Year.
