"By Any Means Necessary:" Malcolm X, 50 Years Later

The Brian Lehrer Show | Feb 20, 2015

Tomorrow is the 50th anniversary of Malcolm X's assassination in Harlem. Dr. Yohuru Williams, a professor of history at Fairfield University and the editor of Liberated Territory: Untold Local Perspectives on the Black Panther Party (Duke University Press, 2009), and Dr. Peniel Joseph, professor of history and founding director of the Center for the Study of Race and Democracy at Tufts University, and the author of Stokely: A Life (Basic Civitas Books, 2014), reflect on that day, his legacy and what he means to the civil rights movement.
