Mrs. John W. Castles discusses the shocking events of the past week. She speaks with Mr. Child. believes it is crucial that we consider the global war, and the wisdom of an international organization for the preservation of world peace. In opposition to Mr. Childs' view that individuals have little power, Mrs. Castles believes that the individuals have a major role in ensuring an end to war. She feels that the people must support a peace seeking international organization. She reminds listeners that there are many resources for educating ones self. Castles and Childs listen in once again on Phillip, Margaret, George, Alice, Duncan and Janet. They discuss their love of coffee, then discuss the security council described in the Dunbarton Oaks blueprint. They describe specifics of the voting rules, election of rotating members, etc.
They relate their shame at not "exercising their brains" earlier. Their children know what they are fighting for though. Duncan reads a letter from his son Bob, who is a soldier and supports the Dunbarton Oaks plan.
