Arlene and Alan Alda Present A Kid's Eye Perspective of The Bronx

The Leonard Lopate Show | Mar 3, 2015

Arlene Alda's new book, Just Kids from the Bronx: Telling It the Way It Was, is a portrait of the Bronx from the early twentieth century until today; the parks, the pick-up games, the politics, and gangs. Alda reminisces about run ins with nuns, police officers, urban planners, and with Al Pacino, Mary Higgins Clark, Carl Reiner, Colin Powell, Maira Kalman, Bobby Bonilla, and many other leading artists, athletes, scientists and entrepreneurs. She will be joined by her husband, actor Alan Alda, and the two will be part of a conversation at the 92nd Street Y on March 9 about the Bronx.
