The Saudi Arabian Activist Arrested For 'Driving While Female'

Saudi Arabian women’s rights activist Manal al-Sharif discusses her memoir Daring to Drive: A Saudi Woman’s Awakening. She tells the story of what led her to her imprisonment for “driving while female” in Saudi Arabia, and how that was just the beginning of her work as an activist.  

Event: Manal al-Sharif will be speaking and signing books at the Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College (47-49 East 65th Street) on Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30 p.m.
