Lora-Faye Åshuvud is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter/and producer who records under the name Arthur Moon. Arthur Moon songs are fun but unpredictable rides through pop, electronic, and experimental styles, and often include unexpected sonic intrusions, either from instruments or found sounds. The track, “Ghost Ranch,” is a rare example of a pop song that references the photographer Alfred Stieglitz, and was inspired by painter Georgia O’Keeffe (who was, after all, married to Stieglitz), and unfolds over a hyperkinetic rush of keyboards, drum, and percussion. Arthur Moon plays May 31 at Public Records.
