Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra at Wave Hill
Sunset Wednesdays: July 13. 7PM. $12.
Pianist Arturo O’Farrill and his Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra have spent years keeping alive the tradition of Latin jazz exemplified by his father, the great Chico O’Farrill – but they’ve also extended that tradition to encompass everything from New Orleans music to turntables to protest songs. Whatever they do, they bring those irresistible dance rhythms. Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra play the Sunset Wednesdays series on July 13 at Wave Hill in the Bronx.
