Ask Governor Murphy: Election 2023 edition
New Jersey Democrats held onto control of both houses of the state Legislature in Tuesday's election — good news for Gov. Phil Murphy.
Every seat in the New Jersey legislature was up for election Tuesday, and there's was reason to believe battles over trans rights in school and clean energy could help Republicans pick up seats. But at the end of Election Night, Democrats had maintained their 25-15 lead in the state Senate and increased their majority in the Assembly.
Murphy will likely still be taking stock of the results himself when he joins WNYC for "Ask Governor Murphy," our monthly call-in show.
