@BrianLehrer please #AskTheMayor to demilitarize the MTA. What happened at the Franklin Ave. station last week is unnecessary and reprehensible. How much money are we spending to collect $2.75? Is the growing friction w/NYPD worth it?

De Blasio thinks that the NYPD officers with tactical gear & long guns "deter" terror attacks, per comments on @BrianLehrer to caller who says she's uncomfortable when she sees those guns. He says they are not a common sight.
