All this week, 193 leaders and diplomats at the 72nd United Nations General Assembly have been assembled in hundreds of meetings, committees, and dinners in New York. It provides an opportunity for countries around the world to express their concerns, and to set the agenda for the U.N. for the coming year.

In the United States, most of the news coverage has focused on President Donald Trump’s speech on Tuesday. But there's a whole world of diplomacy happening that is not just Trump focused, so we wanted to look at some of the other key issues of this year’s General Assembly, before closing ceremonies this Monday.

Mark Leon Goldberg, editor of U.N. Dispatch, has been at the General Assembly all week. He discusses the ins and outs of the U.N. General Assembly — from the high priority issues like Yemen, to the making up of countries at high level meetings.

This segment is hosted by Todd Zwillich.
