Black Belt Eagle Scout at the Bowery Ballroom

Gig Alerts | Sep 6, 2018

Black Belt Eagle Scout at the Bowery Ballroom Thurs., Sept 6
Tickets: $15-18. 18+. Doors at 8 pm.

Katherine Paul records under the name Black Belt Eagle Scout and identifies as an indigenous queer musician. She's a multi-instrumentalist who plays everything: guitar, vocals, drums/percussion, bass, keyboard, vibraphone, organ and piano on her forthcoming debut album, Mother of My Children. The now Portland, OR-based musician sometimes tackles the issue of being a Native American in the US today, but other songs are about love and loss; and in this song, "Soft Stud," loving someone you know you can’t have. Black Belt Eagle Scout plays tonight at the Bowery Ballroom.
