A lot of younger jazz musicians incorporate elements of hip hop, or electronic music, or rock, but Brianna Thomas is a straight-ahead jazz singer. She has an easy way with some of the older jazz standards and some classic scatting ability. Brianna Thomas and her band are playing tonight in a free event at Damrosch Park as part of Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing series.
