As a blind, non-binary person of color, Brittany Davis doesn’t sing about hardship – they sing through it. This song, “I Choose To Live,” is an almost anthemic declaration of perseverance in the face of racism, division, and more. Davis has been associated with Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard, playing and singing in Gossard’s other band, Painted Shield, and this is driven by jangly guitars.
