What Happened in the 'Bronx 120' Gang Raid

The Brian Lehrer Show | Apr 29, 2019

It’s been three years since the largest gang raid in New York City’s history in the Bronx. Babe Howell, professor at CUNY School of Law, and co-author of The Bronx 120 Prosecution, talks about how the NYPD swept up dozens of young people who weren’t actually in gangs during that raid, the problem with gang databases, and arresting on the basis of 'who you know' rather than 'what you did. Plus, Kraig Lewis shares his experience as one of the Bronx 120.
