Ecstatic Music Festival: Wye Oak & Brooklyn Youth Chorus
Thursday, March 21, 2019. Show at 7:30 pm.
Tickets: $20-25.

The Brooklyn Youth Chorus has become a surprising fixture on the contemporary music scene. They’ve collaborated with classical composers and indie rockers. They've worked with Bryce Dessner, who is both a classical composer and a guitarist with the rock band The National, and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Caroline Shaw, as well as an entire project of newly commissioned works, Silent Voices. Their latest project, which they unveil on Thursday, March 21, is a collaboration with another leading indie rock group, the duo Wye Oak.

Brooklyn Youth Chorus performs new works by the band Wye Oak, along with new music by composer Owen Pallett, and new arrangements of music by Alev Lenz. It’s part of the Ecstatic Music Festival at Merkin Hall and one of our New Sounds Live concerts.
