A Family Tries To Rebuild After Katrina In 'The Floating World'

Author C. Morgan Babst joins us to discuss her debut novel The Floating World. Set in New Orleans, the novel follows the Boisdoré family in the months after Hurricane Katrina. It deals with the racial history of New Orleans and the lingering trauma of the disaster as the family looks to rebuild their home and lives after the storm. 

C. Morgan Babst will appear in conversation with Lauren LeBlanc at McNally Jackson Independent Booksellers (52 Prince St., between Mulberry and Lafayette) on Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.
