Call and Response: The Musical Two-Way Street

Found in almost every genre including spirituals, blues, rock, and pop, musical phrases traded between instruments and voices create a special type of melodic communication known as call and response.

It's only fitting that one of the most interactive musical elements be brought to life with an interactive timeline. Using the arrows on the left and right, you can scroll through the decades by way of call and response!
