I would not personally have refused to serve her, however, we have become so disconnected from those in power that I wonder if this isn’t the only way to express a difference of opinion and have it heard.

There's a time and place for civility. When black people are being shot, women's rights are being curtailed, bans against members of certain religious groups and children too young to know their parents first name are separated - it is NOT THAT TIME.
