The Carnival of the Animals is one of classical music’s family favorites, especially when it’s done with Ogden Nash’s witty and inventive poetry. Every year, Miller Theater presents a holiday production of Camille Saint Saens’ famous trip through a musical zoo, complete with puppetry that transforms everyday objects into all manner of animals, from lions to a swan to the donkeys who behave suspiciously like music critics.
Columbia University’s Miller Theater stages the Carnival of the Animals, by Camille Saint Saens twice on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 15 at 1 and 4 pm.
