Catalyst Quartet at The Greene Space (Live Stream)
March 19, 7PM EDT.

The music of Florence B. Price is finally getting some long overdue recognition. Price wrote chamber music and symphonic works of great elegance and skill in the first half of the 20^th century, but the classical music world apparently wasn’t ready to acknowledge a Black woman as a composer. Now, groups like the Harlem Chamber Players and the Catalyst Quartet are championing her works, like her String Quartet in G Major. On Friday night, March 19, Catalyst Quartet plays the piece in a live streaming concert of Price’s music from The Greene Space.
