Catching a Train to Your Plane

In his State of the State address yesterday, New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo proposed building an AirTrain to connect LaGuardia Airport with the 7 train near Citiffield in Queens. JFK and Newark Airports already have AirTrain transfers. 

Sam Schwartz, aka "Gridlock Sam" at the Daily News, discusses the plan and looks at other train-to-airport links around the country. 

Schwartz is also a former city traffic commissioner, and is now president and CEO of Sam Schwartz Engineering (a traffic planning and engineering firm).
