A Children's Musical Goes Off the Rails in Francine Prose's 'Mister Monkey'

Author Francine Prose joins us to talk about her latest novel Mister Monkey. It follows the cast members of a bizarre children’s musical about a playful little monkey who likes to steal. The cast members grapple with their own personal problems, compounded by their growing unhappiness with their roles and the play itself.

Events: On Wednesday, October 19th at  7 p.m., Francine Prose will be speaking and signing books at McNally Jackson Books (52 Prince St.) 

On Thursday, November 03 at 7:30 p.m., she'll be at  Greenlight Bookstore (686 Fulton St., Brooklyn) in conversation with Samantha Hunt.

On Thursday, November 10 from 7 - 9 p.m., she will be in conversation with Theresa Rebeck at Macaulay Honors College at CUNY (35 West 67th Street).
