Christian McBride's Career, Dramatizing the Constitution, Jill Sobule Performs

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Nov 1, 2018

Six-time Grammy Award-winning jazz bassist Christian McBride joins us to discuss his career and his upcoming performance on November 10 with legendary jazz vocalist Dianne Reeves at NJPAC.

REBROADCAST: Obie Award-winner Heidi Schreck joins us (at 16:30) to discuss her new production, “What the Constitution Means to Me.” The production charts how fifteen-year-old Schreck put herself through college by giving speeches about the U.S. Constitution and also traces the document's profound impact on women's bodies—starting with her great-great-grandmother, a mail-order bride who died under mysterious circumstances.  The production is now playing at the New York Theatre Workshop through November 4, 2018.

Musician Jill Sobule joins us (at 39:15) to perform live in-studio and discuss her music career. On January 3, she'll perform at Joe's Pub.
