City University Names New President
Félix V. Matos Rodríguez, president of Queens College and chancellor-designate of The City University of New York, discusses his vision for the future of the nation’s largest urban public university system and one of the country’s most potent engines of social mobility.
"New Yorkers should be proud that their children and working adults can attend institutions of the greatest quality at a very affordable price and we’re very proud of that," says @CUNY Chancellor-designate @FelixVMatosRod1.

"We had a study done by colleagues at the University of Chicago that quantified how many students from the bottom 20 percent of income move up to the top 20 percent and @CUNY broke all the records, all the charts," says @FelixVMatosRod1.

"The cheating scandal shows the use of social networks to be able to advance things for your kids. When 30-40 percent of your kids are first generation in college, it is @CUNY's job to be able to connect you and help you create that network of employment," says @FelixVMatosRod1. pic.twitter.com/wgka2yuFIY
