In this episode: During the 1960's, New York City’s Brill Building was a songwriting epicenter that pumped out some of the era’s most memorable hits. Two of the songwriters inside were Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann – a couple whose story is told alongside that of another songwriting duo, Carole King and Gerry Goffin, in the new Broadway musical “Beautiful.” We talk with Weil and Mann about their long-lasting musical partnership and some of their favorite songs that they’ve written together over the years. ·
