'Dance Nation': A Comical Coming of Age

Midday on WNYC | May 22, 2018

Playwright Clare Barron and actor Ellen Maddow discuss their new production Dance Nation. The play takes a look at the world of dance competitions and explores notions of adolescence, desire and motivation from a comedic perspective. The pre-teen dancers are played by adult women of all ages. Dance Nation is showing at Playwright Horizons at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater until May 27.

This segment is guest hosted by Rebecca Carroll.
