Meik Wiking, CEO of the Happiness Research Institute in Copenhagen, joins us to discuss his book The Little Book of Hygge: Danish Secrets to Happy Living. The Danes have earned the reputation of being the happiest people in the world. Wiking offers a guide to the Danish philosophy of “hygge” (pronounced hoo-gaa) which he says is a sense of comfort and togetherness that we get from being with the people we love and doing small things each day that make us happy.
