If you’ve ever curled up with a Raymond Chandler novel on a rainy night, or gone bleary-eyed binge-watching TCM’s “Noir Alley,” then you’ll love this conversation Paul Cavalconte had with singer Melissa Errico, author and lyricist Adam Gopnik, and pianist Tedd Firth. They visited New Standards to talk about Out Of The Dark-The Film Noir Project, Melissa’s concept album matching classic songs with the Noir genre. From “Laura” to “Angel Eyes” and “Detour Ahead,” it’s the dark side of The American Songbook in a whole new light.

Melissa will be performing these works at Birdland February 10-14th.
