Over the course of a long career, DJ Logic has been the go-to turntablist for jam bands, jazz bands, and experimental music composers. As a bandleader, he seems to be as creative in picking his bandmates as he is in picking the samples he plays. One longtime collaborator is the guitarist Vernon Reid, with whom DJ Logic has recorded under the name Yohimbe Brothers. Reid is one of the guests that Logic has lined up for his run of shows this week at the Blue Note. DJ Logic and Friends play Jan. 21-23 at the Blue Note.
