To celebrate Black History Month, the Crested Butte Music Festival in Colorado is presenting online a 2018 concert performed by American clarinetist Don Byron and the Cuban pianist Aruan Ortiz. Both musicians move easily between jazz and classical music. In Don Byron’s case he’s recorded everything from klezmer music to politically charged chamber jazz. He and Aruan Ortiz have done a whole collaborative record together, Random Dances & (A)Tonalities, – this piece from it is called "Delphian Nuptials." These are musicians who are at their best live, and the Crested Butte Music Festival is offering their 2018 concert for on-demand listening.
