Don't Throw it Away, Bring it to Pop Up Repair!

The founders of Pop Up Repair are here to talk about their itinerant NYC-based repair service for household items. Sandra Goldmark, a theatrical set and costume designer, along with her husband, Michael Banta, discuss the sorts of items people consider are throwaways and maybe shouldn't, as well as the economics of repair and why we often replace broken items rather than fix. She’ll also talk about the need to make relatively inexpensive repairs available.

On Saturday, May 21st, Pop Up Repair will be be accepting items at The Patagonia Store on 72 Greene Street in SoHo.
