Guitarist Bryce Dessner is part of the hugely popular indie-rock band The National. But he’s also a classical composer, and in 2019 he released an album done with the duo piano team of Katia and Marielle Labeque, who’ve been classical music superstars since the 80s. On that album, he also worked with French guitarist David Chalmin, and that combination of two pianists and two guitarists worked so well that they’ve now formed the Dream House Quartet. On Sunday, April 23, at Town Hall, they make their American debut with the U.S. premiere of Radiohead singer Thom Yorke’s first classical composition, and new works by Bryce Dessner, David Chalmin, Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Steve Reich. The concert benefits The Kitchen, the venerable arts institution.
