Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Talinn Chamber Orchestra
at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, Mon., Nov. 12
Tickets: $27-$88. Show at 8 pm.

The Estonian composer Arvo Pärt has spent the last three decades as one of the most in-demand figures in contemporary classical music. His works draw on Eastern mysticism, medieval music, minimalism, and the patterns of bell ringing. Some critics have referred to his style as “Holy Minimalism,” whatever that means.  Pärt’s music has been played all over the world, but his foremost interpreters have been the members of the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir.

The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Talinn Chamber Orchestra are performing a whole evening of Pärt’s mystical work tonight, Mon., Nov. 12, at the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola on the Upper East Side.
