Designing a More Equal Workplace

The Brian Lehrer Show | Mar 24, 2016

If subconscious biases lead employers to hire more homogeneous workforces, there are also conscious, data-driven decisions we can make to ensure more diverse workplaces.

Iris Bohnet, behavioral economist at Harvard University, director of the Women and Public Policy Program, co-chair of the Behavioral Insights Group at the Kennedy School of Government, and author of What Works: Gender Equality by Design (Belknap Press, 2016), draws on research to propose ways to make gender equality less about changing individual minds and more about changing systems.
