Charles Seife discusses his latest article in Slate, “Are Your Medications Safe?: The FDA buries evidence of fraud in medical trials. My students and I dug it up.” When the FDA finds evidence of scientific fraud or misconduct, it doesn't notify the public, the medical establishment, or even the scientific community. Instead, Seife found that the FDA shows a pattern of burying details of misconduct.
