Fear and Health Anxiety in NY Prisons

In June, Governor Cuomo transferred nearly 100 inmates over the age of 60 to a separate prison, as COVID-19 was spreading in downstate facilities. Now the older men at the Adirondack Correctional Facility say they are not receiving care for other age-related medical issues. Jose Saldaña, director of Release Aging People in Prisons (RAPP), and Stefen Short, a lawyer with the Prisoners Rights Project at the Legal Aid Society, talk about how the pandemic has affected people, of all ages, incarcerated in New York prisons during the pandemic.
