The Leonard Lopate Show | Sep 10, 2015

On her second night of college, Aspen Matis was raped by a fellow student. Her parents discouraged her from telling of the attack, and her college's "conflict mediation" process was cold. She tells the story of her five-month trek in Girl in the Woods: A Memoir.
