Food: A long-awaited food hall opens in Astoria

After years of delay due to the global pandemic, a change in ownership and construction issues, the World Artisan Market is now open for business in Astoria, Queens.

WNYC contributor Scott Lynch has been checking out the food at the market. Speaking with Weekend Edition host David Furst, he says five of the seven spaces are up and running. The restaurants include Sotto la Luna, Elevenses, Sala Astoria, Urban Vegan Roots and Potlux Kitchen.

The World Artisan Market is located at 34-39 31st Street in Astoria, Queens.
